Anonymous asked: i've never used an epilator, should i? i have such hair problems, when i shave with a razor, i get bumps and redness, and when i wax, my hairs grow into my skin, it's all so annoying. what's so great about an epilator? i don't know if i should invest in one...
Yes, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. It keeps the hairs away for I’d say about five days to a week depending on the area, you can use it for underarms as well as legs (and apparently bikini line too but I haven’t been brave enough to try that yet), and the skin is so smooth straight after - you don’t even really need to moisturise or anything. It pulls the hairs straight out of the follicle like waxing, so there’s no razor burn and I haven’t noticed any problems with ingrown hairs or anything (and I’ve had mine for over a year now). It’s really quick and easy to do it at home, it kinda hurts at first but you get used to it after a few goes (like tweezing your eyebrows) and once you’re used to it you can do it super quickly with pretty much no hassle.
As well as all that, it’s definitely a lot cheaper in the long run. Like you’d pay maybe between £60 - £100 for a decent one, and it lasts pretty much for life (or a good few years anyway). Think of how much you’d end up spending on waxes, waxing kits, razors etc in that time. I definitely definitely 100% recommend getting one.
