kissobelle asked: Hey, do you know of any DIY hair toners? I'm trying to go white, but I don't have enough money to buy toner and I don't want to try bleaching it beyond a pale platinum blonde (if that's even possible), it's already getting pretty fried.

The only natural hair lightener I know of is lemon juice or honey, but I don’t think they’d help to tone your hair. I used a toner once with ginger in it, so maybe that would help? I had a bit of a google there and couldn’t really find anything either, so I’m starting to believe such a thing doesn’t exist :(

However, you don’t need to spend your money on expensive toners, instead you could try a purple or silver shampoo. John Frieda has a range of purple shampoo, conditioner, mousse etc for platinum blondes (which I’ve used and it’s really good). Schwarzkopf also make a silver shampoo, which I think is a little less expensive that the JF one, or there’s also a range called Touch of Silver and I think they’re relatively inexpensive.
